Sconce/Lights Operation

If it is like ours!

Again, ours turns on with the switch up underneath the storage bins to the right as you walk into the HiLo. The other light is controlled by a switch across the trailer up underneath those storage bins. If nothing comes on, the culprit may be the bulbs.

No switch there...

There is a switch beneath the right (door side) candle light fixture. If that controls the sconces, what controls the exterior light on the front of the trailer?

Thanks for your help!

Are you talking door light?

Bob,
Mine does not have a light at the "front" of the trailer where the propane bottles/tongue are. If yours has one there, it wasn't there in 1993.

1996 22L Classic Light Switches

Thanks Byrdmeister!

Yes, there is a light at the front of the trailer, over the gas tanks/tongue.

BTW, the fuse blows every time I turn on the switch below the sconces, so there must be a short. I'll have to track that down when I get a chance.

Happy camping,
Bob

Some trailers had a switch on the under side of the front cap for the light.

You may have the wrong bulb for the sconces. They are a single filament bulb with two base contacts. A single contact bulb will blow the fuse every time you hit the switch. Someone here can probably give you the right bulb number.

We were also given the wrong replacement bulb many years back at the dealership!

The rocker switch that operates our amber covered "front" light is located under the left edge of the top portion. Other rocker switches operate the amber covered "porch" light, skirt lights, and one in the bedroom operates a "reading light" so one does not have to get out of bed to turn off these mounted double ceiling lights.
