I have a 2003 Hilo 29' classic. It has a switch on the outside under the bay. Took it to a camper repair and they have no idea what is it for and neither do I. Anyone know what it is for. It looks like a simple on/off switch

Thanks Bob that is the switch. We have another switch right inside the door where the lift switch is there is the cord that you pull next to that is the up or down button to raise or lower, next to that is a fat black button that switches the power of the lights I think, on or off if your traveling or camping, and then there is another white switch which looks like the one under the front window. Do you know what that one is for? We keep flipping it on and off but seems not to be doing anything.

Renee,
I may be wrong but on my camper I think that swithc cuts on two lights that are suppose to help you with backing in a campsite in the dark. On my Hi Lo they are yellow and located on the side of the camper down low near the back of the camper.
I understand that they would assist you to know where the back corner of the camper (either side) when backing into a space after dark.
The other switch which Bob identified I had problems figuring out also. I finally went out one night after dark and switched it on. I'd have never found it in the day light. But in the dark it lit the front of the camper up. You may try this with the switch inside your door. It's just easier for my old eyes to see them light up after dark. ha Bob don't have that problem.

Thanks Papa - I will try that. It is nice to know what all the buttons are for. Feels good to be able to use all the bells and buttons on your camper. I am learning more ever year.

Bob,
Glad to see you are still on your toes. Figured that would wake you up. I had the same problem with figuring out what some of the Hi Lo switches did until I had the idea of trying them at night. That worked for me.
Guess you are getting ready for the Hi Lo rally? Man I wish I could make that trip. Doc still says I can not lift over 20 lbs. Bad to have back surgery but it sure feels better. Keep me posted on the rally.
God Bless
Papa

Unknown switch

Here is a picture of the switch location. I had wondered about this one before also, mine is seized and doesn't move at all and I was afraid to break it, so just left it alone. I think someone told me before that it was for the outside light above the window. Probably most likely used to see the propane tank and jack lift area better at night time would be my suggestion also. I just use a flash light :D
