I have been using TSP drop in pods purchased from Walmart. Last winter I had some left over that I stored in my 50* basement. When I went to use them for the 2024 camping season the covering of the pods crumbled in my hands. I looked on the package and called the co. I thought maybe they would need to reengineer the pod casing. Nope. Next question was how much crystal was in each pod? Two table spoons. Warned me to not get any on the floor as they stain the floor and nothing takes it out. I keep a dedicated measuring spoon in the package. I have a little bit left and will purchase again in the spring. I don't have any where to keep camping supplies except the basement. Any product that I have trouble with usually has information on the package and I have found companies to be very good with product problems/customer service. DD recently dropped a full bottle of dove body wash in the shower and broke the pump. They wouldn't give me a new pump. However they gave me a coupon for a new one. I was able to transfer my pump so we don't waste a large full bottle.I have been labeled as a "Domestic Goddess". Hope this informatio n helps someone. Other winters I have stored in the basement with no problems.

Start buying the 10 pk liquid, 1/2 bottle for 20gal tank. and it won't go bad. Just don't let it freeze. Mine lasted through the winter and Texas 110+ degrees.

Years ago I used liquid chemicals for the toilet. I prefer the drop ins. I realize the outer coating has to be able to dissolve. We go camping every month for at least a week. I should be able to use up a big pack from May to Sept.
