I had been looking at these for a few months and happened on a 1996 24ft Towlite for $700. Of course it needed some work but I'm pretty handy when I want to be. The whole passenger side top shell-bottom support beam was rotted (side with door) and wouldn't raise and lower. The hydrolics activated but couldn't go far with out some crunching. I replaced the entire beam and put in a pressure treated header frame around the door with angle brackets (I'm surprised how little support was built around the door). I'm still very happy with the overall design. I don't know of any other trailer with comparable wind drag. Just last month I was a dreamer renting rooms from town to town. Now I'm a true full timer- months before I could afford it :) Anyway, according to Nada, this trailer is one of three models- the 24TB, 24TD, & 24TL. Anyone know the difference or know how to find models by vin? Currently in South Dakota- heading east through summer

The TB, TD, and TL meant different layouts. The T stands for Towlite, B for front bed, D for front dinette, and L for front lounge. I know of no way to look up a VIN for Hi-Lo unless you contact JR Repair who was the warranty repair facility for Hi-Lo, they may have those records.
