Hi
I have a 2011 Salem KQBS rv.
I have an electrical issue I hope you can help.
I plugged the rv into my outside electrical on my house and it tripped the electrical on the house (outside plug which works fine with everything else). It also did the same thing last week when we plugged the rv...
I'm sure this has been addressed somewhere but I am on an iPad and it takes forever and a day to find what I am looking for. Ac with micro or hairdryer flips breaker. I need a why and a fix please
Thanks
Previously said that 30amp trips when microwave and ac run. That kills all 110 circuits the indv breakers do not trip just main 30 amp
Last night got to trailer and and main 30amp was tripped with only hw heater and frig on. Had to throw everything out. Nothing else on

Had our second challenge with our new Vegas today just 2 1/2 weeks in. The first was a furnace board problem, which was promptly resolved by Atwood with a new circuit board sent directly to me at one of our destinations.
Hadn't needed the furnace, but it wouldn't stop clicking like it was...
Have 2014 Wildwood 31QBTS When the AC is on the breaker trips if you the microwave. Also the wall circuits in the master bedroom AC and microwave are on the same breaker. Is this correct?
Trailer was wired with 30 Amp Service plug from factory and dealer.. Does it need to be upgraded to a 50...
We've been full timing since April and it's getting hot in SE Arizona! Starting about 3 days ago the main breaker in the camper will trip, usually between 12 and 2 PM. Only thing running is the AC, floor fan and tv. I do have a bit of an electrical background but for the life of me I can't...
We have a 2012 Rockwood. The temps have been in the 90's the last few days and we have our thermostat set between 70 & 75. It seems to run half the day and then the 20 amp breaker blows. By the time we get home from work the temp inside reaches 85-95 degrees. We reset the breaker and the unit...
We are on our 'shakedown' cruise with a 2016 Sunseeker 2860DS. We upgraded to a 15 K AC knowing we would have hot days to contend with on the road. The last two have been in the mid-90's. Our unit has a Domestics frig (small one) in the rig and a dorm/bar frig in the outside kitchen. We've got...
We are camping for the first time with our new Wildwood 27RKSS. Everytime we run the hair dryer and the AC the breaker trips. It seems to be the only combination to trip. Our old camper we had for 10 years didn't do this. Except every once in a while when the campground was full. I can run all...
During our first trip in our new TT while the AC was running we used the microwave and that tripped the main breaker. We couldn't seem to run both at the same time without the main breaker tripping. Taking it in soon to be looked at but was curious if others have had this issue and what was the...
Hello all, I have a 2011, 32 SRV wildwood, fifth wheel, toy hauler. I've been a little puzzled as my cable causes my 30 amp breaker to trip as soon as it touches my RV. I've tried all the obvious things like:
1) unplugging the rv and then hooking up the cable TV, then plug back in the power and...
Just got back from a municipal park, an older one with 20 amp 120VAC and water, no sewer. Built back in the Shasta days. I brought the generator in case we needed AC. But it was shady, and we were ok. Friends asked about the generator, and said, "we run ours here!" The fridge was on propane...
Is there someone on here that could tell me where to find the breaker that powers the slide on this trailer model. Have had three years and no issues but embarking on a 3 month trip, some of which will be isolated so would like to be proactive and find and carry a fuse/ breaker.
Thanks in...
We are getting ready for our first trip out in our NTU 2007 Rockwood Roo 232. It is plugged into house power. The lights and radio/CD player have worked fine. I plugged a fan into an outlet for the first time today. NONE of the plugs have power. I have already attempted to reset the single...
Ever had the problem while doing dinner that your AC and your microwave keep kicking your 30 amp breaker off? There was a great tip on a Facebook site about turning your refrigerator to gas while using the microwave and the AC does not kick off. Tried it this am and it worked!
I have a 2010 Heritage Glen 312 QBUD. I am somewhat capable, but my knowledge of electricity is very poor.
One of the 15amp circuits has a short. The circuit is identified as "LTS" so I believe that this powers lights.
After I noticed the blown fuse, I tried to replace it with a new fuse...
i have a 1996 Rockwood Popup with a Magnetek 6600 series inverter.
When plugged into AC, the outlets are dead. Hwever, the pump and interior lights work.
The 15 amp breaker, when switched on, cause the inverter to hum gently. The 30 amp breaker seems dead as flicking it in either position...
Just wondering thoughts on the Main breaker position,On or Off during plug in to the electrical box? On my motorhome it was easy to get to and use to have it in the off position. Now I have a WindJammer 3025 and with the slides in you can't easily get to the Panel. Hate to leave it on during...
I have a 2014 Forest River DS3010 (Class C). The fridge is a stainless steel double door model with typical fridge/ freezer combo. As an electrician, I realize that both draw high amps when each compressor is on.
My question is: Other than living with the freezer using gas only or not...
New to forum and Salems. The wall switches for the slide outs our dead and I don't see it listed on the fuse box. No issue with the remote to bring in or out the slides. Is there another fuse or breaker I'm missing?
I'm new to posting so hope I'm doing this right. Last night the 15 amp circuit breaker that controls the hot water heater and living room overhead lights tripped and won't reset. Does anyone have any ideas of what we need to do?
Thanks!
