I am working on adding a second solar panel to my 2021 E-Pro 19FB and following the "Tito RV 2019" process making the panel removable and not drilling into the roof. Tito's installed on basically a flat roof and the process looked like it worked really good, best I have seen. The challenge...
I recently bought a Rockwood 214 HW 2020. I'm trying to figure out what solar panel I can get for it. The dealership where I bought it said they are back ordered. Someone suggested Amazon.
Any ideas? I'm not sure what voltage or watts or what I need.
Thanks in advance. First camping...
Hi happy campers
We just purchased a 2016 Rockwood HW 276. It’s pre wired for Zamp solar panels. I am going to run parallel 12v batteries on it.
My question is, what size Zamp solar panels do you recommend for boondocking?
Thanks for your input in advance.
God Bless.
Perhaps this is old news to some but yesterday was the first time I've heard of Battleborn Solar panels.
Theirs are flexible flat mount panels in a couple of sizes: 230w and 170w.
I don't know if they sell them individually or not. On their website they are bundled with BB LiPo batteries and...
i have a flagstaff 205 with solar ready wiring. Zamp Solar is the company that forest river hi lights but i was wondering if any other portable solar panels will work for it without any other connections...
I have another*project that I am about to embark on and I am wondering if I could get your opinion/advice. I have a 2019 FR3 33DS
I am about*to install a solar panel to the roof. Dealer previously installed panels, but will not provide the detail on what type of screws & process they used...
bclemens you mentioned at one time there might be the option of rigid solar panels in lieu of the flexible solar panels. It has been reported flexible solar panels transfer heat buildup to the RV's ceiling due to no air flow under them as in the rigid panels - also reports of lack of durability...
Hey all,
I'm looking to add a couple solar panel to the roof of my 2003 Adventurer. The panels are 24" x 50" and weigh about 32 pounds each.
I really like the idea of not putting screw holes in my fiberglass roof.
Each panel will have 8 mounts, and each mount is about 1" x 1.5" of roof surface...
Regrettably must sell my 2014 Escape 19 which is in excellent condition, ready to hook up and go. Has solar, wet bath, 2 burner stovetop, and additional upgrades. All lights are LED; dinette has seat support to convert into U shape if desired. This has had no smokers or pets in camper. A partial...
I have a 2020 Flagstaff E-Pro E19FBS that came with a Go Power 100 watt flexible solar panel on the roof and a 30 amp pwm controller. It also has what they call solar onboard which is a SAE connector wired directly to the battery. You can plug in another solar panel that has its own controller...
Hey all,
Newbie to rv life. Have a new epro 15TB with from what I understand is a rubber roof. Would like to install an additional flexible solar panel but avoid drilling holes on the roof. Question for the experienced forum crew is how do I attach a flexible solar panel on our rubber roof...
I have a 2019 Sunseeker 3010DSF, fiber glass roof w/double 12 Volt batteries and 100 watt solar panel on the roof. There is a two/one cable running from solar panel to interior with bracket on the roof.
Question
Is it worth the expense and perforating my shiny new roof to add panels and set of...
Getting ready to refresh layer of rubber roof, and I was wondering if I could use the same Dicor rubber product to “paint” my wires leading to the solar panels? They need to be replaced but was looking for an easier way to extend life vs. pulling and replacing.
Recently I had a flexible solar panel fly off my roof and I am looking to replace with glass panel. How do you safely fasten mounting brackets to a thin travel trailer roof which may only be 1/4 or 3/8 inches thick OSB or plywood if you are lucky. I don’t want to lose another panel!!!!
Also, is...
We just purchased a Champagne 38EL that has the 190 Watt solar panel. It has 2 batteries and I found that only BAT1 is connected to the solar panel. Since the batteries are connected in parallel I assume that both are being charged but only BAT1 is being displayed on the monitor panel. Is...
Hello!
I am a novice and need some help. I have an E pro 14fk travel trailer and the Go Power flexible 100 Watt panel blew off while traveling. My question is how do I replace it with a less expensive panel (maybe Renogy)? I have spoken to both Go power and Renogy and have sent them the two...
I've heard many people claim that solar panels charge the battery ONLY and do not supply electrical loads in the RV. How is this possible?
A battery can only be in one state at a time - it is either charging or discharging. It can't be doing both at the same time. Whether it is charging or...
Hello!
I just bought a 2019 Forest River Surveyor Legend 241 RBLE. It is "pre-wired" for solar panels but I assume that is just a ploy to get me to buy from furrion. It will be at our cabin with limited power so I am trying to be creative.
Question: Anyone have experience with Solar Panels...
A very poor installation job! All screws rusted and stripped. I bought this motor home in March of this year and didn’t do a good roof inspection. It’s a 2019 but I’m first owner. I’m hoping no water damage! So my question is, would a bead of RV roof sealant around the edges be good enough to...
Hi Guys, Well I bought a second solar panel and other upgrades and was going to mount the second panel on my wildcat t28 when i discovered it was'nt going to be so easy. The dealer {a few years ago} mounted my initial panel and low and behold they buried the connector cables in the roof space...
Good morning
I own a 2019 Epro 14fk travel trailer and have discovered the 100 Watt flexible solar panel has blown off during travel. It was made by Go Power. I called Go Power and they told me what I would need to replace it. Looking online I found they are pretty expensive. Renogy panels seem...
